The Mistletoe executive team is a group of people who have each defined, built, sold and shipped successful products in the past, and who are fired up to do it again:
William Thomas – CEO Bill has over 26 years of sales experience in the semiconductor industry. He most recently served as Vice President of Sales at Summit Micro. He also served as Vice President of World Wide Sales for QED from 1996 through its acquisition by PMC Sierra where he remained VP of Sales. Bill's extensive sales background also includes positions at Sierra Semiconductor Corporation, AMD and AMCC.
Kevin Rowett – CTO Kevin is an accomplished technologist and architect with extensive experience in both computing systems and networking ranging from servers and storage to VoIP switching and multi-Gigabit routing. He has demonstrated expertise in both software and hardware engineering. Kevin's background spans companies from Force10 Networks and CacheFlow (now Blue Coat Systems), to Cisco Systems, Tandem, Boeing Corporation and IBM.
Tim Bean – VP of Engineering Tim is an engineering executive who has delivered software for mission-critical networking communications systems. He joined Mistletoe from NextHop Technologies, a supplier of networking software stacks for leading service provider systems and the ODM/OEM community, where he was Vice President and General Manager. Prior to NextHop, Tim was VP of Engineering and Technical Support at Shomiti Systems. He has also held various management positions at Aspect Telecommunications, most recently as Director, Software Development of a $500M annual product line.
Jonathan Sweedler – VP of Advanced Development Jon is in charge of hardware architecture and development at Mistletoe. Prior to founding Mistletoe with Kevin and Som, Jon was Vice President of Platform Development at Dotcast Systems. Before Dotcast, Jon worked at Intel Corporation for over ten years on high-performance processors, and at National Semiconductor.
Dr. Steve Russell – Strategic Advisor Dr. Russell has extensive entrepreneurial and management experience at several Fortune 500 companies. He has also founded a number of companies including Telseon, where he served as president; Equatorial Communications, which was sold to Continental Telephone; and Vitalink Communications, which went public in 1986. Dr. Russell was vice president of engineering for 3Com's router division, and vice president and general manager of two divisions that manufacture network access equipment. Dr. Russell holds four patents.
Mervyn Alamgir – Director of Marketing Mervyn joined Mistletoe Technologies in 2004 and leads the marketing and product management teams. Previously, Mervyn spent 3 years at Sonicwall, Inc., where he held both product management and sales management roles, and helped grow the security appliance and software services business – as well as launched new Unified Threat Management services across all the hardware platforms.
Robert Ellison – Director of Sales, US Robert is a seasoned professional who has played a pivotal role in building and marketing network security solutions for multiple market segments. Robert joins Mistletoe Technologies from Intoto, Inc., an industry leading provider of embedded network security software, where he served in various Sales and Business Development roles. Prior to Intoto, Robert was an OEM Regional Sales Manager for SafeNet, Inc.
Peter Miles – Director Sales, Asia-Pacific Peter has over 8 years of international sales and marketing experience in the networking industry. He successfully led the network communication sales team for Lanner Electronics in North America and EMEA. Peter was responsible for establishing Lanner’s European branch office and ran its operations in 2005. Prior to Lanner, Peter was the Senior Product Manager for Edimax Technology, where he launched and ran Edimax’s router, print server and gigabit switch product lines.
